I used to look at women with beautifully crafted summery glowing makeup and admire such beautiful artistry. I must admit, I often found myself being drawn into the art of such delicately applied make-up and wondering what was different about her make-up? How were they achieving that sun-kissed look? And then I realised… it’s bronzer.
Since discovering Bobbi Brown bronzers, my whole bronzing game has seriously changed. Instantly, I was hooked. I really started to understand quite quickly how much a good bronzer can really help to bring your whole make-up look together to create a really pretty finish, and enhance all your other features too.
Bobbi Brown’s staple collection of 8 really lovely bronzers are a great way to keep your make-up looking fresh and a good match for pretty much any skin tone. They start off with quite gentle colours such as ‘Golden Light’ to provide a natural looking tan but my personal favourite and beauty bag staple is the ‘Deep 4’. This is a rich but deep golden brown colour which really warms up my skin and makes me look gently tanned. Bronzers are great for bringing back some warmth and dimension to the face. I really enjoyed using mine over the summer and will surely continue through the winter too.
The Bobbi Brown collection is really a matte powder bronzer, so if you’re looking for shimmer, there are probably more suitable options. But for a light application and daily wear, this is a great product. You can easily build it up for a more evening/night-time glam too so lots of versatility.
To use a bronzer, take a bronzing brush and gently sweep it over the hollows of the cheeks, outer forehead, nose, and chin. You can even use it on your jawline and neck area. The idea is to apply it to wherever the sun would naturally hit and that’s it. You’re good to go. Let me know, do you have a favourite bronzer and if so which one?
