Over the past few weeks, I have been trying out the award winning Olay Regenerist Range. There has been so much talk about this red jar range, that I thought I must give it a try.
The Olay Regenerist promises to rejuvenate dull and lacklustre skin, and help to defy the signs of ageing. Music to my ears! And… all available for a price that won’t break the bank.
To be honest, I couldn’t think of a reason not to try this range and I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed!
Firstly, Olay have managed to really simplify skincare routine into a number of easy steps. If your not sure what the basic skincare steps are… check out my article here on the basics of creating a skincare routine. They have a day cream, night cream, and a couple of serums. Which is great after your basics are skincare is complete.
The packaging really helps too. Olay clearly label their recommended steps on the side if you get stuck for what you which product you want to try and this can be really helpful if you’re just starting out.
I firstly purchased the 3 point age defying skin serum and the 3 point facial moisturiser to go with it. Now, I love a Serum. I need a serum. Now into my 30’s, I don’t know what I was doing before serums?! But thankfully I’ve seen the light and this step is here to stay. Serums work deeper into the skin, and like to think of this as doing the background work, keeping the deeper (and soon to be new top layer of skin) layers of skin fresh and beautiful.
The Olay Regenerist Serum is a beauty. It comes out of the jar a slightly golden colour but applies on to the skin neutral. It has a beautifully soft velvety texture and after a few seconds of application, it sinks right in. Unlike other serums, this is more of a light cream, than an oil. Which I was not used to, but actually, in some ways it was even nicer to use, as its not runny.
I honestly felt I could just use this alone, it made my skin feel so lovely. But by now.. I know better and so reached for that moisturiser.
The Olay Regenerist Moisturiser to complete my daytime routine goes on top. This cream is delicious! It has just the right amount of richness and again that velvety texture that makes you want to literally want to use it as often as you can! And you can… you can use this as in the morning or the evening as a night cream too.
Another thing I must tell you about is the beautiful smell of this Olay range. It is just lovely. Very subtle and softly scented. It’s so feminine. This won’t leave you coughing for air – bonus.
I’m really pleased that Olay, a name that we all know and trust has managed to come out with the perfectly formulated range for glowing age-defying skin at an affordable price. There have been several reviews and adverts to say that it very comparable with the various other £400+ creams currently in the anti-ageing category on the market today. But to me, you can’t get better than a reputable high street brand and an award winning formula! It’s just a match made in skincare heaven. I think this range is just fantastic for the quality and the price, and I actually can’t wait to try more of it.
